RESCHEDULED to December 9th, 1pm with Penny. National Dish: Around the World in Search of Food, History, and the Meaning of Home is a 2023 book by Anya von Bremzen that explores the connection between food, national identity, and history. The author travels to six food capitals—Paris, Seville, Naples, Oaxaca, Istanbul, and Tokyo—to investigate the myths and realities behind iconic national dishes, examining how cuisine is tied to place and identity.

Discussion December 5, 1:30pm with Sara, “The Last Witch” book club. The Last Witch is a historical horror novel by Carolyn Jess-Cooke (writing as C.J. Cooke). The story is based on the true events of Helena Scheuberin in Innsbruck, 1485, who was accused of witchcraft and murder. Imprisoned with other women, Helena must confront a ruthless witchfinder and a malevolent spirit unleashed by a cursed totem, blending historical fiction, thriller, and occult genres.

Ink & Wildflower will be on hand during the Book Festival Saturday selling their bookish goods: key chains, book marks and more full of fantasy and sparkly good cheer.

There are authors at the library, at the Reading Room, around town at our local partner sites, at the Katonah Museum, a book walk at Lasdon, book recommendations from Caramoor and Katonah Wine, workshops at Oak & Oil, Chroma, and Petite Art Studio.
