Our upstairs seating is ALWAYS open for seating, and our SEPARATE event space is full of fun. All events take place in a side room, so our regular seating is available every day for walk-ins.

Mah Jongg November class - begins November 17th, 5 sessions, Tuesdays 10:30am-12:30pm. $200.

Bam! Crack! Dot! Learn the American version of this fascinating ancient game of skill and chance. Mah Jongg is typically played with four people. * We must get four people to sign up to teach so payment will not be requested until the class is full.

We’re all dressed up and ready for the Westchester Book Festival. November 7th, all day in Katonah, we’ll have authors chatting and visiting and offering workshops. Tickets are still on sale for some of the author series at the Katonah Village Library and the Katonah Presbyterian Church (selling out fast!) and we will have an author’s corner here at the Reading Room of fabulous local authors with book signings. We have a food truck coming and will be enjoying a beautiful day of book chatting and fun drink specials. Katonah Wines has the perfect pairing for every book. Stores and spaces all through town will be decorating with bookish themes and hosting authors of their own - a poetry session at Oak and Oil, another at the Katonah Museum, Piper Klemm, a horse podcaster and author for educating young equestrians at G. All day during the Westchester Book Festival we will be hosting local authors for casual meet and greets and book signings. Pop in to meet authors, chat about books and generally have the best bookish day! November 7th all day. We are so excited to announce that the “Flavor Bandits” food truck will be joining us during the day of the Westchester Book Festival to provide their “eclectic comfort food” menu to all of our book lovers. The parking lot and building will be filled with reading joy - good food - author signings and bookish drink specials. And the best part of the food truck? It’s run by two teachers. We can’t be more thrilled to have them on site. Follow at @flavorbandits for menus and get excited to hang with us ALL day on November 7th.

What’s a crow party?! Have you heard that crows collect shiny items and gift them to people they like? Look it up. Anyway, we invite you to join us for a craft swap - bring your left over bits and bobbins and TRADE other attendees for theirs. A great way to clean out your drawers and find something new, chat with people about craft ideas, share your love of stickers…whatever you like. All ages welcome. This will not be an “organized” event - just make your own arrangements with other attendees, or leave your extras and we’ll start a lending library of bits and pieces. Who knows what might happen. We surely don’t. Just pop by!
