Best little town around
Reading through my Katonah Chamber email this morning (if you don’t get the newsletter you’re missing all the up to date news) and am just struck by how wonderful this little town is. Amazingly adorable events, caring shop keepers and community members, volunteer opportunities for all ages and interests, and more…
Cozy Sundays
I just made toast for my 22 year old and myself. A decades long tradition of breakfasts in our house. It’s no wonder the Reading Room’s specialty is toasts, really. We are a toast family.

Fall weekend treats
Not to panic anyone, but this is the last weekend for Maple soft serve. Come in Saturday and Sunday for your last licks (lol) before we switch back to chocolate. Soft serve never ends though, so don’t fret. And peppermint will be here soon. Also available, our new Apple Pie Rolls. I can’t explain, just try them. Beyond delicious. Happy Halloweekend folks!

Author Fun
This past Saturday night during the Katonah Art Walk, we hosted seven of the most amazing folks and offered signings of their books, casual chats, and community time here at the Reading Room. We were inspired by their stories, eager to read their books, and inspired by each of their journeys to come to writing.

Join teacher and author Melissa Pyrch for a signing and casual visit at the Reading Room on Sunday October 30th from 12-2pm. Drop in during that time to check out her book and chat with Melissa about all of the questions that loom once graduation is on the horizon.
Holiday Volunteers!
Every year Katonah jumps into the Holidays in a BIG way. We have music and parades and decorations and special events and fun fun fun. We welcome you to come meet some of our favorite people who help put these events together and hear how you can get involved. Commitments vary from very small amounts of time to bigger depending on your interest and availability. If you ever want to volunteer and spend time working to make our town the best one around, come by this Wednesday around 4:45pm at the Reading Room and get involved!
