This has been the kind of week that makes me remember why I run this bookshop. If I’m honest, I am generally a fiction trash hound. I love a good story - usually the crazier the better - and spend less time with memoirs or non-fiction…BUT, I was so lucky this week to meet with not one but two people who were strong and brave enough to share their memoirs with me.
Beam Paints & Kelly the Fabulous
My friend Kelly and I are obsessed with Beam paints. Like really, really obsessed. I wandered into a tiny art store in Marfa, Texas on a road trip a few months ago and discovered a life changing watercolor paint. Perhaps you’ll think I exaggerate, but really, I’m not kidding, they’re amazing. They are beautiful and magical and inspiring.
