Speech-Language Talk

A Morning Coffee Talk for Parents, September 30th at 9:30am. Join us for a casual information session with Sophia Morton, MS, CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience working with children and families right here in Northern Westchester. Sophia has spent her career supporting children from Early Intervention through high school across many of the preschools and schools in our community — and she’s bringing that knowledge straight to you, over coffee.☕️

What we’ll cover:
• What typical speech and language development looks like — and what to look out for
• Common speech sound errors in preschoolers and why early support matters
• The powerful connection between speech, language, and early literacy – including decoding, fluency, comprehension, and storytelling
• Navigating the CPSE process — what it is and how to access support through your school district

There will be plenty of time for questions, and Sophia is happy to chat one-on-one after the talk. Free consultations are also available for families who’d like a more in-depth conversation about their child. This event is free and open to all parents and caregivers.
