Out in Motion
Join us in collaboration with Kind Hearts Coalition for “Out In Motion” June 18th from 5-7pm, all along Katonah Avenue. Free and open to all.
This spring, Kind Hearts Coalition invites the community to move with purpose through their Spring 2026 project “Just Call It Love,” a creative, inclusive, and deeply personal movement-based initiative designed to celebrate love, identity, belonging, and self expression while raising awareness and support for the LGBTQIA+ community through beneficiary, The Trevor Project.
The project will culminate on the evening of Thursday, June 18th from 5:00–7:00 PM with a free public event in downtown Katonah: a one-of-a-kind strolling movement experience transforming Katonah Avenue into a living gallery of expressive dance called Move! Katonah: Out in Motion. During the event, audience members will walk through town and encounter soloists and small groups of dancers performing in storefront windows, on sidewalks, in alcoves, and throughout participating public-facing spaces. Rather than a traditional stage performance, Move! Katonah reimagines Main Street as an immersive celebration of visibility, creativity, and community connection. “This project is about making love visible,” said Kind Hearts Coalition cofounder, Ali Tejtel. “It’s about creating space - for joy, release, identity, and belonging - and reminding people that movement can be a powerful form of storytelling, healing, and advocacy.”
We will be open and dancers will be on hand throughout the night on our porch.
